The benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rose 4 basis points to 5.3338% on October 1, its highest since April 2002. The 30-year yield climbed 3 basis points to 5.6702%, its highest since July 2002, as concerns over interest rates, government debt and fiscal spending fueled a global bond sell-off.
