Global PC shipments dropped 21% year over year in Q3 2026 after more than two years of growth, Counterpoint Research reported. Rising prices for RAM, SSDs and Intel, AMD and Qualcomm chips drove up computer prices and weakened demand, while smartphone shipments fell to a 14-year low.
