Two helicopters collided on Tuesday while both tried to land just below Mount Everest base camp at Pheriche, 4,200 metres (13,780 feet). A 47-year-old Indian national was killed; a New Zealand national and a Nepali pilot were hurt. It is unclear how many people were on the two aircraft.
