Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Sweden and Finland want the EU’s proposed nearly €2 trillion budget for 2028–2034 cut by several hundred billion euros. The six fund almost 40% of member-state contributions and reject a 60% nominal increase over the current budget.
