Typhoon Champi, carrying winds of nearly 200 km/h, has killed one person and injured dozens as it approaches Taiwan. More than 1,300 people have evacuated, hundreds of flights are cancelled, and most businesses and schools are closed amid warnings of torrential rain and massive waves.
