Eleven EU member states, led by Austria, are pushing for a 12-month pause on new Brussels legislation in what Europe Minister Claudia Bauer called a "year of simplification." Signatories include Germany, Italy, Poland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Portugal and Hungary.
