On Friday, Pope Leo XIV praised the splendor of Notre-Dame de Paris at an evening vespers service. The cathedral was restored after the devastating 2019 fire; he said the heart of a people beats in the building. He is the first pope to visit since Notre-Dame reopened in 2024.
