Typhoon Champi swept past Taiwan on Saturday, killing a man on Liuqiu and injuring 527 people. More than 167,000 homes lost power, while closures and flight cancellations continued. The weakening storm, with gusts near 126km/h, was heading toward China before southern Japan.
