Chipmaker AMD has agreed to acquire AI startup World Labs, founded by Fei-Fei Li and fellow researchers in 2024, for $8.2 billion. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year, pending regulatory approval, boosting AMD's world model and robotics training capabilities.
