On Monday, an Italian court sentenced three Egyptian security officials in absentia to 10 years in prison for the aggravated kidnapping of Cambridge researcher Giulio Regeni. Regeni disappeared in Cairo in January 2016 before being found tortured to death; a fourth defendant was acquitted.
