Henri B. Kagan, 95, and Kenso Soai, 76, received the 2026 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discovering non-linear effects and autocatalysis in asymmetric organic synthesis. Their work showed how a self-catalysing reaction can favour one of two mirror-image molecular forms, with implications for pharmaco
