California Bans Child Marriage, Still Legal in 32 US States

Governor Gavin Newsom signed a law requiring people to be 18 to marry in California from 1 January. He signed it alongside advocate Courtney Stodden, whose parents allowed her to marry 50-year-old actor Doug Hutchison in 2011, when she was 16.
