Let’s Encrypt to cut certificate lifetimes to 64 days in February 2027

Let’s Encrypt will reduce its free SSL/TLS certificate lifetime from 90 to 64 days on February 10, 2027, requiring users with manual or fixed renewal schedules to update. Optional testing begins October 14, 2026, while a further reduction to 45-day certificates is planned for 2028.
