Google Research used pulse and motion sensors on ordinary smartwatches, training on nearly 500,000 hours of data, to estimate hypertension; the work was published in Nature. In 196 participants across five U.S. sites, it flagged 65.8% of high-blood-pressure cases, above 55.3% for standard in-office
