Taiz governor Nabil Shamsan says the month-long Houthi siege has reduced daily water deliveries to 1,000 cubic metres against minimum needs of 35,000. He reported 64 deaths and 173 injuries from August to 20 October 2026, while 120 health centres and schools have closed.
