African Leaders Demand Permanent African Seats on the U.N. Security Council

African leaders including the presidents of Ghana, Liberia, Kenya and Namibia demanded permanent African representation on the U.N. Security Council. The U.N. Secretary-General said the lack of a permanent African seat was indefensible.
