US Supreme Court clears way for Christa Pike’s execution in Tennessee

The US Supreme Court overturned a last-minute stay, allowing Tennessee to execute Christa Pike, 50, by lethal injection on Wednesday night. Pike was sentenced to death for the 1995 killing of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer, committed when Pike was 18.
