Israel ordered the UK’s East Jerusalem consulate to close after Britain banned imports and services linked to illegal West Bank settlements. A compromise lets seven British diplomats remain at the renamed “UK Mission, Jerusalem”, while 20 others, including the consul general, must leave Israel.
