Erdogan to run in early 2028 election, sidestepping term limit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's chief adviser Mehmet Ucum said Thursday that Erdogan, 72, will run in an early presidential election likely set for April 16, 2028, a month before the normal May date. Bringing the vote forward lets Erdogan bypass the constitutional limit of two five-year pre
