Former DR Congo president Joseph Kabila launched the Front for the Refoundation of the Nation in Goma on October 12, bringing opposition figures together with leaders of the Rwandan-backed AFC/M23 coalition. Kabila, sentenced to death in absentia in 2025, denies supporting the insurgency.
