Would you support a similar rule banning airlines from charging extra so a child can sit next to their parent on a flight?

Under a UK government plan, airlines would have to seat passengers under 14 next to a parent or accompanying adult free of charge, and could not charge extra for fixing a misspelled name on a booking either.

  • Yes, it's basic decency — airlines shouldn't charge for it
  • No, let airlines set their own pricing — it's part of their business model
  • Only for younger kids (say, under 6) should it be mandatory
  • Doesn't matter — airlines will just find another way to charge elsewhere
